The Student Fellowship in Law and Political Economy is a year-long program designed to foster early-career LPE research. Applications are due July 15, 2026. Fellows receive grant support of $4,000 and are expected to spend the year writing an academic paper that contributes to the field of law and political economy. In addition, fellows are required to attend a monthly reading workshop* and present their work at an end-of-year fellows symposium. Eligible students include 2L, 3L, and SJD students at Harvard Law School, as well as PhD students at Harvard University who work on the role of law in the construction of economic and social inequality, on power in economic and social relations, and/or on the political economy of market societies.
