The Program on Law and Political Economy at Harvard Law School is part of broader efforts to develop a discipline of law and political economy. Funded by the Hewlett Foundation, LPE@HLS is designed to foster a vibrant intellectual community of students and faculty, and to train students and entry-level academics to think about political economy as an integral part of law. The program seeks to provide both formal and informal settings for scholarship and teaching anchored in the law school, but encompassing cross-disciplinary interactions with students and faculty throughout Greater Boston who are concerned with how law structures and legitimates capitalist social relations.
